Delivery & Shipping

Dispatch Times

We aim to dispatch orders, with the exception of our lampshades, within 1-3 working days. If you have a deadline, please get in touch as we're always happy to help as best we can to get an order to you on time. 

All our lampshades are made to order and therefore take a little longer to process, and aim to ship these within 2-7 working days. During busy periods this timeframe may be extended and will let you know if there is going to be any delay making up and shipping your order. 

We aim to ship all items within an order at the same time. For larger and international orders, these may be dispatched in multiple parcels. Please be aware parcel can get separated in transit and arrive at different times, and refer to any tracking information for updates. 

 

Shipping & Pricing

We deliver to the UK, Europe, North America and Australia, and aim to offer our customers with the most cost-effective and reliable shipping service available. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout and determined by the size and weight of your order.

Please note, for larger international orders, these may be sent in smaller individual parcels to offer the best shipping rates. Some larger items, like our 40cm diameter lampshades, can only be shipped within Europe due to their size.

UK Shipping

We like to support Royal Mail and use their service for most UK orders, with the option to select either Standard (2nd Class) or Express (1st Class) shipping at checkout. 

For larger domestic orders these may be sent using Parcelforce, UPS, DPD and other courier services.

Europe, North America & Australia Shipping

All international orders are sent via a tracked service that aims to deliver within 6-7 working days, however please do allow additional time due to disruptions and parcels being processing at customs. 

Small international orders are dispatched using Royal Mail International Standard service, which is then handed to local postal authorities when arriving at your destination country (e.g. USPS, Deustche Post, La Poste etc.). Larger orders are sent via courier services DPD, UPS, FedEx etc.

International shipping prices are listed per parcel, with the final price calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your order. Please note, it is often more cost-effective to send large orders in smaller, individual parcels rather than combined in one big parcel.

Import Duties and VAT 

International orders may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by courier service or the destination country. The buyer is responsible for paying all import fees and charges, which are typically due and calculated once the package arrives in the destination country. Please refer to your local tax office for further information and current VAT rates. 

Please be aware, following Brexit all orders shipped to the EU are now subject to VAT. For EU customers we are working towards being able to collect, declare and pay VAT at the time of purchase and hope we can offer this service soon. 

We will try and prompt EU customers that VAT may be due upon their parcel arriving at their destination country, and do let us know if you would prefer for your order to be cancelled. 

 

Cancelling my Order

Do get in touch with us as soon as possible if you would like to cancel your order at hello@tropikala.com. If your order has been dispatched, we will need it returned back to us before we can proceed with processing a refund. 

 

Damaged Orders

We make every effort to securely package our orders, however on occasion items can get damaged in transit, especially our more fragile items like our lampshades. 

Please contact us immediately if your order has not arrived in perfect condition so we can resolve this for you and ensure a replacement order is sent to you as soon as possible. We will just kindly ask for a photo of both the damaged item and the damage to the packaging to support a damaged parcel claim with the courier service.
